On Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 8 a.m. Eastern Time, 8 p.m. Taipei Time, the Atlantic Council will hold a virtual discussion “on what Taiwan can learn from the PRC’s gray-zone activities against the Philippines….
“To truly counter the PRC in the gray zone, it is critical to analyze Beijing’s tactics across the broader Indo-Pacific region. This seminar will explore the similar yet distinct challenges Taiwan and the Philippines face in fending off Beijing’s incursions in the air and at sea, and what Taiwan can learn from the Philippines to mitigate and deter Chinese aggression.”
Among the participants will be Jay Tarriela, a spokesman for the Philippine Coast Guard; Ta-Chen Chen, with the Research Institute for Democracy, Society and Emerging Technology; and Arielle Ann Nicole Lopez, with the National Defense College of the Philippines. Registration is required.
